JATIMTIMES - Penyebab meninggalnya Mohammad Imam Muslimin alias Yai Mim mulai terungkap. Pihak kepolisian menyebut tersangka kasus dugaan pelecehan seksual dan pornografi itu meninggal dunia akibat asfiksia, yakni kondisi kekurangan oksigen secara drastis.

Kasat Reskrim Polresta Malang Kota, Rakhmad Aji Prabowo, mengatakan bahwa kesimpulan tersebut didapat dari hasil analisis medis dari dokter yang menangani. “Dari hasil analisis dokter, tanda-tanda yang menonjol mengarah pada asfiksia,” tegasnya, Senin (13/4/2026) malam.

Ia menambahkan, Yai Mim dinyatakan meninggal dunia saat dalam perjalanan menuju Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) dr Saiful Anwar (RSSA), setelah sebelumnya mengalami penurunan kondisi secara mendadak.

Sebelum kejadian tersebut, kondisi Yai Mim dalam keadaan sehat. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan yang dilakukan tim dokter Polresta Malang Kota pada pukul 08.59 WIB, tidak ditemukan tanda-tanda gangguan serius.

“Tensi yang bersangkutan saat diperiksa berada di angka 110/80, dan tidak ditemukan keluhan maupun gejala lain yang mengarah pada kondisi tidak sehat,” jelas Aji.

Namun, situasi berubah drastis beberapa jam kemudian. Sekitar pukul 13.45 WIB, Yai Mim tiba-tiba terjatuh saat berjalan dari ruang tahanan menuju ruang pemeriksaan penyidik. “Yang bersangkutan terjatuh dalam posisi duduk saat berjalan dari ruang tahanan nomor 4 menuju ruang pemeriksaan,” ungkapnya.

Saat insiden terjadi, petugas langsung memberikan respons cepat dengan membawa yang bersangkutan ke rumah sakit guna mendapatkan penanganan medis lebih lanjut. “Begitu mengetahui kondisi tersebut, kami langsung membawa ke RSSA untuk pemeriksaan. Namun yang bersangkutan meninggal dunia dalam perjalanan,” imbuhnya.

Meski demikian, pihak kepolisian belum memaparkan secara rinci hasil pemeriksaan lanjutan terkait penyebab pasti kematian, dan masih menunggu pendalaman lebih lanjut dari tim medis.

“Saat ini kami masih fokus mendampingi proses pemulangan jenazah. Untuk detail lainnya akan kami sampaikan kemudian,” tutup Aji.

Sedang, saat ini jenazah Yai Mim telah diberangkatkan menuju kampung halamannya di Dusun Wonorejo, Desa Slemanan, Kecamatan Udanawu, Kabupaten Blitar, untuk dimakamkan pihak keluarga.
